The Joint Enterprise ruling should be celebrated

A quick scan of today's papers could leave you thinking that yesterday's supreme court ruling that Joint Enterprise has been misinterpreted for decades, was something to fear. Our first piece today looks at how headlines about "getting away with murder" and suggestions that Stephen Lawrence's killers could be freed because of the judgement, are a far cry from the message coming from legal experts.

Elsewhere, we report on a tricky moment for Nigel Farage this morning as he took part in his call-in show on LBC. When one caller asked about a "rape invasion by blacks and Muslims" and "white genocide", the Ukip leader appeared to get himself in a bit of a tangle trying to answer. This piece suggests he may have been more concerned with not alienating the racist supporters his party has picked up since the demise of the BNP, than he was with condemning the caller, as he should have.
