Can the Tories become the main opposition party in Scotland?

Long gone are the days when Labour dominated Scottish politics, but it's not just the SNP the party need to worry about. With a recent poll suggesting the Tories could challenge Labour as Scotland's second party, we speak to the country's Conservative leader, Ruth Davidson about Thatcher, SNP tricks and how the Tories lost the Scottish working class.

For those locked up behind bars, smoking is much more than just a pleasure - it's a currency. Whether it's payment for a decent haircut or for repairs to personal clothing or settlement of a debt, tobacco is king in prison. Our next piece today looks at how a smoking ban would impact prisoners and the trouble it could spark.

And, the debate around free speech and no-platforming has raised its head again after the National Union of Students' LGBT representative refused to share a stage with Peter Tatchell. Some have claimed that this doesn't count as no-platforming but our final piece today suggests this is exactly what it is, and that as new more subtle methods are used to limit free speech this term has grown to encompass them.
