Sadiq Khan U-turns on mansion tax

It hasn't been a great week for Sadiq Khan. He's spent the last few days trying to bat away questions about the cost of his transport fares policy, and today we report that he has now U-turned on his support for a mansion tax, claiming that he would fight any attempt to impose it on Londoners. This is despite openly backing the policy while running to be Labour's mayoral candidate.

We have a piece which takes a closer look at that row over transport fares and suggests that neither Sadiq Khan or Zac Goldsmith, the two frontrunners in the London mayoral race, are being entirely honest about it.

Elsewhere, with Jeremy Hunt all set to impose a new contract on junior doctors, we hear from some of those who will be affected by the changes, about just how tiring it is working for the NHS.

If you missed it yesterday, make sure you catch up on our report that the Home Office has admitted it deported twice as many children to dangerous countries as it thought it had.

And finally, with the the gender pay gap inquiry continuing to hear evidence we have a short video showing you exactly how much women are missing out on and how it's impacting the wider society.
