The bizarre world of porn regulation

Any mention of porn is almost certain to be met with some pearl-clutching outrage, but you'd think the government would be able to see the clearer picture when it comes to policy making. Our first piece today suggests this isn't the case and that because everyone is so embarrassed to talk about it, politicians continue to churn out ignorant regulation which is almost impossible to enforce.

Elsewhere we bring you news of yet another damning report which highlights the prison crisis in England and Wales. The chief inspector of prisons report found that violence was rife at Leicester prison and that legal highs were easier to get hold of than basic necessities. The report follows a recent speech by the prime minister which promised to tackle the crisis. Early indications don't show that is happening very quickly.
