We're nearly there. The third of the four weird debates we're getting this election took place last night, with the Lib Dems excluded and the Tories bunking off. Overall, Miliband came out of it well, playing the statesman to a group of parties to the left and right of him. But the real story of the night was the Tory party's refusal to attend and the subsequent efforts they went to to weaponise their absence. Even after Tuesday's positive manifesto launch, it seems the party are slipping back into their old habits.
