Why does the government trust G4S to run a discrimination helpline?

Today we hear from the director of policy at Liberty about why they are so opposed to G4S being awarded a contract to run a government funded discrimination helpline. The organisation has produced a dossier of reported failings by the security firm and is one of 41 groups to sign a letter calling for an investigation into the decision to award them the contract.

Elsewhere we have a piece which sets out how liberal Brexiters see the future of Britain outside of Europe. It suggests the original decision to join the EEC was a mistake and we now have an opportunity to put it right. It argues that the single market and 'fortress Europe' will become far less important and that building a global marketplace is the key to increasing prosperity.
