Our first piece today reports that Tim Farron is set to launch a devastating attack on Theresa May. Farron is expected to tell the Lib Dem conference that "the absence of clarity" as to what happens after the EU referendum is a "disgrace" and that there has been an astonishing lack of leadership from the prime minister. His speech will also reiterate his party's pledge to hold a second referendum on Brexit once the terms of the deal have been finalised. And, we look at the contributions from Labour's Rachel Reeves, Emma Reynolds and Stephen Kinnock to a Fabian pamphlet on Brexit. The three make it clear that they want to treat freedom of movement as a 'red line' against the Tories but this piece suggests their demands will actually help the Conservatives secure a hard Brexit. |
