It would've been easy for Jeremy Corbyn to go along with many in his party and talk about the need to curb immigration. But as we reported yesterday, he has rejected growing calls for Labour to promise an end to the free movement of people, once Britain leaves the EU. Today we have a piece which suggests this was a brave decision by the Labour leader and one which deserves praise.

Next, we have a piece which looks at comments made by Labour's Rachel Reeves about racist attacks in her constituency. It argues that she has effectively victim-blamed the people who have been targeted by post-Brexit violence.

And, we report that Unite's chief of staff has called for a "socialist" solution to media ownership in the UK. Andrew Murray told a Momentum meeting that there had to be a "change in ownership" away from the "tax exiles and ne'er-do-wells" who currently own most newspapers and broadcast media.
