They fought against it for months but the Home Office has finally been forced to reveal how many pregnant women are kept in immigration detention centres. Our first piece today reports that in a five-month period 52 pregnant women were locked up, this is despite the government stating that they should only be detained in exceptional circumstances. Yesterday, the Home Office won an appeal against a court ruling which allowed four Syrian refugees to join family in the UK. But what does the decision mean for other unaccompanied children still in the Calais 'jungle'?
