Jeremy Corbyn's biggest selling point has always been that he does politics a different way. He's a straight-talker with none of the spin of Blair or Cameron, or at least, that's what his supporters believe. But our first piece today suggests that the way he handled questions over Article 50, during last night's hustings debate shows he's really no different to any other politician. When he's under pressure he dodges like the best of them. Ever fallen asleep during a lazy afternoon in the park? Or met up with more than one friend at a time in public? Well, be careful where you choose to do it because in some places doing these things could now see you be fined. We hear from Liberty about some of the most bizarre things councils in England have banned and why Public Space Protection Orders are far too broad and are rife for misuse. And finally, we hear from the Labour MP Grahame Morris about how cuts to supported housing could see services for the most vulnerable close. He says the government's plans are inept and should be abandoned. |
