There's been plenty of talk over the last few days about the return of grammar schools. Are they a vehicle for social mobility or do they just create more division? Our first piece today suggests that even if some kids would benefit from a grammar school education, many more would be left behind. It argues that far from selective schools being a way to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds, they will be used as another stick to beat the working class with.

Next up we have a little moral test for you. If you had magical powers which would make Donald Trump disappear, would you use them? Our next piece today suggests that when things get tough even liberals start contemplating anti-democratic measures. It looks at the recent attempted coup in Turkey and the Remainers response to Brexit and asks if a minority of people can see everyone else marching towards disaster, is it more responsible to overrule the collective wisdom of voters?
