Legal aid cuts have ripped the heart out of our justice system

Few would argue that access to justice should be a basic right for all, but a combination of local authority cuts and the government's legal aid reforms has led to drastic changes in who can obtain state funded legal advice. 

Our lead piece today suggests that the changes have ripped the heart out of the justice system and highlights a project which is crowdfunding to produce a one-off publication to explain why legal aid matters and why people need to fight for proper, meaningful access to justice.
