If you've seen the Brexit flotilla this morning, you'll know that the EU referendum has reached a whole new level of weird. But putting the boats to one side and just looking at the messages coming out of the Leave campaign, our first piece today suggests that they are peddling a fantasy which bears no resemblance to the reality of what Brexit would mean for the UK.

The Green MEP Molly Scott Cato agrees. In an article for Politics.co.uk today, she argues that although politicians should offer people a vision of a better future, Brexiteers are selling people dreams that cannot be achieved.

And, much has been discussed about the divisions the EU debate is creating within the Tory party but what about the impact it's having on local communities? Our final item suggests that with some politicians and press outlets exploiting tensions surrounding immigration, the splits appearing in society could take years to repair.
