War on drugs to cost more lives as harm reduction strategies stall

Our lead item today looks at a new report which reveals that services intended to reduce drug-related harms are failing to keep up with growing need. It suggests that the war on drugs is set to cost more lives as the wave of progress on harm reduction starts to slow.

And, we have a piece which examines the justice secretary's white paper on prison safety. It finds that Liz Truss' plans for reform have very little substance behind them and show that there's no reason to believe that real change is coming any time soon.
