May's India trip shows the ultimate failure of the Brexit project

Theresa May will find some scraps here and there to pretend her trip to India was successful but our first piece today suggests that in the short, medium and long term, the Indian relationship reflects all the practical failings of the Brexiters. It argues that the deals we've been promised are far away and by the time they come, much of the Indian investment in the UK will have migrated to the continent.

Elsewhere, we hear from a social worker and director of the charity Article 39 about how the government's children and social work bill will allow councils to experiment with vulnerable children.
