Theresa May abandons the 'ordinary workers' she promised to protect

When Theresa May became prime minister she promised to make Britain a country that "works not for a privileged few, but for every one of us." One of her key pledges to achieve this was to force companies to put workers on company boards. But today we report that she appears to have abandoned those plans.

Elsewhere, we have a piece which suggests that post-truth politics is a myth and that we are actually in a post-trust era. It argues that politicians have always lied, all that's changed is that we no longer believe them.
