For some people the impact of austerity is still very much being felt. So news that the Institute for Fiscal Studies have warned that leaving the EU could cause at least two more years of cuts to public services will be a concern for many. But our first piece today reports that Iain Duncan Smith has suggested it's a price worth paying. With most polls showing that Remainers are winning the EU debate, our next piece says the Leave campaign must start appealing to people on the left. It argues that Brexiteers should make the referendum a judgement on the way our country is run and to turn a vote to come out of the EU into a demand for something better. And, Boris Johnson may have been popular with Londoners but he wasn't always so popular among those on the London Assembly. His sessions at Mayor's Question Time were often raucous and ill-tempered. So all eyes were on Sadiq Khan yesterday as he made his first appearance at the monthly event. Our final piece today reports that he made a solid start and that his courteous and considered approach to answering questions was welcomed by all sides. |
