What does Tristram Hunt know about connecting with voters?

"I'd always put my trust in words and let the words do the work, but in politics, the real message is physical." - Michael Ignatieff

This morning we look at comments made by Tristram Hunt about social media. The Labour MP told an audience at Sheffield University that the party's digitally-based "new politics" of "Twitter-led mobilisations" was making Labour lose touch with the electorate. But we ask if Hunt is really the right person to be lecturing people on connecting with voters.

Elsewhere, we report that housing activists evicted from a North London estate last month have now occupied a former police building nearby. The group are protesting against the arrests of 19 people during the eviction.
