"The police must obey the law while enforcing the law" - Earl Warren

This morning we report on comments made by the Conservative frontrunner to be mayor of London about police use of stop and search. Speaking to LBC this morning Zac Goldsmith suggested that Theresa May's decision to cut down on the use of stop and search may have contributed to a "spike" in knife crime. This isn't the first time Goldsmith has criticised May's more liberal policing policies.

We also hear from the cancer charity which is calling for better funding of end of life care. Research by Macmillan Cancer Support shows almost half of those with terminal cancer rely solely on family and friends for practical support. And the organisation says too many people are spending their last days in hospital due to a lack of suitable home support.

And if you missed Jeremy Corbyn's debut at PMQs yesterday you can catch up on our analysis of it here. The new Labour leader managed to not only take the sting out of Cameron's tail but he also forced a change in behaviour from the prime minister.
