Ashcroft's revenge

"I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals." - Winston Churchill

The internet is awash with jokes about the prime minister and pigs this morning but David Cameron's spokesperson has refused to comment on allegations from a biography by Lord Ashcroft and Isabel Oakeshott that he once took part in a bizarre university ritual which involved his genitals and a pig's head.

Elsewhere, we have an analysis of Sadiq Khan's chances of becoming the next mayor of London. He's currently the narrow favourite with the bookies but some Labour figures say he has a mountain to climb to beat Zac Goldsmith. Despite the party achieving one of its best ever results in London at the general election, in many of the wealthier parts of the capital the Tories actually increased their majority. In a bid to win votes in these areas Khan wants to paint himself as pro-business but can he successfully appeal to the business world without alienating Corbyn-supporting Labour activists?
