Today we look at what happens when you criticise Corbyn supporters and suggest that like the 'cybernats' in Scotland, the aggressive behaviour of many of Corbyn's online supporters could undermine their own cause. With it looking increasingly likely that Corbyn will emerge as the next leader of the Labour party he will need to win over not only his own party but also the millions of people who didn't vote Labour at the last election. If he is to do this he must be able to form a coalition of voters including both hard left activists and dissatisfied Tories. We also examine Yvette Cooper's refugee speech from yesterday and the comments made by Andy Burnham on the issue this morning. We finally have a new narrative on refugees fleeing Syria to the shores of Europe so could Cooper and Burnham's intervention change the tide of the refugee debate, and will the government follow suit? Elsewhere, we report on the shocking cost of the badger cull. The government is understood to have killed 2,476 badgers during the pilot but these latest revelations will be a damaging blow for the programme. |
