The attacks on Corbyn continue

"We would all like to vote for the best man but he is never the candidate." - Kin Hubbard

The attacks on Jeremy Corbyn just keep coming. Yesterday Gordon Brown warned that the frontrunner could damage international relations and today the media is full of reports that Peter Mandelson plotted to stop the left winger from becoming leader by orchestrating a 'mass resignation' of the other candidates. Yvette Cooper this morning insisted she had not held any discussions with Mandelson.

But in contrast to the barrage of criticism from Labour grandees, Ken Livingstone today writes for Politics.co.uk in support of Corbyn and praises him for energising the leadership campaign. He points to the recent packed out rallies and the positive opinion polls as evidence that it is the right of the party who are out of touch and not Corbyn.
