"Nobody ever rioted for austerity." - George Monbiot

Today we look at the campaign that is calling for an assessment of the impact of government cuts on disabled people. The group says the cuts are having a serious effect on the health of sick and disabled people and forcing many into poverty. The issue is garnering support from leading politicians like Jeremy Corbyn and Natalie Bennett. Will the government be forced to listen?

Elsewhere, we carry a piece about Jeremy Corbyn's foreign policy. The writer suggests that Corbyn's opposition to the coalition bombing campaign in Syria is at odds with his supposed solidarity with the Kurds. He says that rather than attending public meetings in support of the Kurdish cause the frontrunner to be the next leader of the Labour party should be taking a look at his own position on the issue.
