The appointment of Boris Johnson as foreign secretary raised more than a few eyebrows both at home and abroad but it also caused nervousness in the very department he is in charge of. As Labour's troubles rumble on, leadership candidates took part in their first hustings yesterday. Both Angela Eagle and Owen Smith claimed to be the candidate to bring the party back together but our next piece reports that there was little sign of unity among their supporters, with one person describing Smith as "a Welsh Captain Mainwaring".
