McDonalds row reveals the weakness of Jeremy Corbyn's opponents

"Petty infighting and political agendas, arrogance and sheer bloody-mindedness almost guarantees that the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing" - Jasper Fforde

Of all the things Labour moderates could use to attack Jeremy Corbyn, his rejection of sponsorship from McDonalds is probably the most bizarre. Our first piece today suggests that the rather disingenuous comments coming from certain parts of the party in support of the fast-food chain over the last few days, show that those wanting to oust Corbyn have learnt nothing from his successful leadership campaign.

With it being clear to just about everybody that the war on drugs has been a failure what will it take for governments to change course? Our next piece looks at the growing global cannabis industry and suggests that a regulated legal market could be key to drug reform.

Next, we carry an open letter from a disabled benefit claimant about the reality of life on welfare. It paints a picture of a system which promotes the idea of deserving and undeserving disabled people and one which offers little support to help them into suitable work.

And as ever, we will be watching PMQs so that you don't have to. Check in with us a little later for our verdict on this week's encounter.
