Amber Rudd may be telling people not to "call her racist", but our first piece today suggests the proposals she is pressing forward with which mean landlords must check the immigration status of their tenants, will lead to discrimination. The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants argues that the introduction of criminal sanctions will create an incentive for landlords to rent only to white British people.

And, despite all the talk of 'taking back control' after the EU referendum, our next piece suggests that Liam Fox's support of the international trade deals CETA and TTIP means we will be ceding control to a secretly negotiated European Commission-led trade deal which will entrench corporate power indefinitely.
