There was widespread condemnation when it was revealed that asylum seekers in Middlesborough were left open to attacks because they could be identified by their red front doors. But our first piece today suggests there is an ongoing problem across the country with poor accommodation being used to house those claiming asylum. Torture survivors have reported harassment, invasion of privacy, theft, and a failure to respond to complaints, by housing staff.

It should have all been so easy for Jeremy Corbyn at PMQs yesterday, after all, the government had just suffered it's worse week in years. But despite the resignation of a senior cabinet member and calls for the chancellor to resign, our next piece suggests Corbyn failed to get the upper hand over the prime minister.
