Jeremy Corbyn can't control the questions he is asked in interviews but he can control how he answers them. When asked about the Falklands on the Marr show yesterday surely he must have known the type of press his response would get. Our first piece today looks at exactly what he said and suggests that the Labour leader may well have just handed the next election to the Tories on a plate.

Elsewhere, we reveal that Tim Farron has written to the prime minister to urge him to accept 3,000 child refugees in addition to the 20,000 Syrian refugees the government has already agreed to take. In the letter, the Lib Dem leader accuses the British and French governments of "turning their backs" on unaccompanied children in Calais and Dunkirk.

And be sure to check in with us later today as we'll be bringing you live updates as MPs debate calls to ban Donald Trump from entering the UK.
