Dog-whistle politics

We lead today with an explosive row between the two leading candidates to be the next London mayor. The battle, which takes place next May will be the first major test for Jeremy Corbyn's Labour party and both sides are taking it extremely seriously. A campaign leaflet sent by the Conservative candidate Zac Goldsmith has been met with allegations from Sadiq Khan's camp of 'coded' racism.
