Today we lead with news of a report on the collapse of the British steel industry. A committee of MPs found that the government didn't do enough to prevent the crisis or to protect the jobs of hundreds of steel workers in Redcar. We have reaction to the report from the wife of a steel worker, the steel workers' union and the Redcar MP Anna Turley.

Elsewhere we report that the Telegraph has been fined £30,000 for sending emails to hundreds of thousands of its subscribers urging them to vote Conservative.
