Has Europe stopped caring about children drowning on our shores?

Today we have a piece from Amnesty UK's refugee and migrant rights programme director about the ongoing refugee crisis. It suggests that the shock and outrage over the photos showing the body of Aylun Kurdi washed up on a beach, has now diminished despite the fact children are continuing to drown.

Elsewhere, we report on comments made by Nigel Farage about junior doctors. Speaking to LBC, the Ukip leader said that those doctors planning to strike over pay and conditions were "behaving in an extremely militant way" and did not deserve sympathy.

And we have a piece that suggests the government's Investigatory Powers Bill will, rather than tackling extremism as intended, actually make it worse.
