Are terrorists the only people not affected by May's surveillance plans?

Today we have an article which looks at the surveillance powers being proposed by Theresa May. It suggests that it will be the public that is affected by the plans, not terrorists.

We report that the Home Office has admitted that drug use does not harm families.

We have a story about comments made by the Surrey police chief constable to the home affairs committee. Lyne Owens told MPs that crimes such as petrol theft and vehicle crime are increasingly no longer being investigated by police forces, due to government cuts.

And we have a piece which looks at today's "Ask Boris" session on LBC. It asks if the London mayor's reputation for being 'plain speaking' is at odds with what he actually says.
