Their law

What is the worst, most incomprehensible and counter-productive law in our history? That's the important question we ask today for your chance to win a unique prize. Head over to our competition for a look at the contenders to be named the worst UK law of all time.

Elsewhere we take a look at the Green party and their leader Natalie Bennett. For all the talk of a 'green surge' the party did significantly worse in the general election than most people had been predicting. Today we ask how much of the blame for that can be left at the feet of Bennett, and look at what plans she has for the party's next big election test.

We also dig into the latest allegations of an attempt by the Labour party to stitch up the nomination process for their London mayoral candidate. Rumours began to swirl yesterday that several of the leading candidates are about to be booted off the shortlist in an attempt to benefit one of the two frontrunners. Denials by senior figures in the party have failed to kill off the story, in what has become an increasingly bitter battle to win back City Hall. Two of those rumoured to be set for the axe - Diane Abbott and Christian Wolmar - explain to us why the field should be left as open as possible.
